Life at Our Homes
Our homes have a strong philosophy of an individual’s right to family life and social inclusion. Links between an individual’s family, friends and pets are actively encouraged and promoted. Our residents are encouraged to fully participate in family and social life, to be valued members of the community and to continue focusing upon achieving their individual goals and aspirations. Service users are actively involved in deciding and participating in the preparation of weekly menus and daily meals just as they would be in any family environment.
Activities
We provide a range of activities, each tailored to the needs of our residents to help promote a happy environment and an enjoyable stay. The rear garden features a vegetable plot so that our residents can engage in gardening activities.
Respite Care
Most of our residents are permanent, however, we are also able to offer a respite service for shorter stays.
Dales House is a small residential care home based in Cottingham. We cater for adults aged 18 plus who have profound learning and physical disabilities and complex/multiple needs. Our home promotes a family atmosphere and provides a person-centred care service based upon the individual needs of our residents.

Langdale House is intended to be a “home for life” providing long term care to young adults with complex needs, learning & physical disabilities. We ensure all members are fully involved in making choices regarding the decoration & layout of their personal living spaces, creating a homely environment for our residents.

Fossdale House is a small residential unit based in Market Weighton where we provide respite and day care support to adults with complex needs, learning & physical disabilities. Here, we provide exciting communal areas such as a games room, quiet room and sensory room to consult with every resident’s needs.
